Target Massaponax #2138 Recognized as Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation’s Volunteer Organization of the Year for 2024

In appreciation for their unwavering support, the Target Massaponax #2138 Team was presented with the Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation 2024 Volunteer Organization of the Year award on December 5th. Their combined efforts resulted in over 70 hours of service.

Kathy Digman, the Executive Team Lead for HR at Target #2138, brought her team of passionate, hard-working individuals after hearing about the volunteer needs of Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation.

“I have been nothing but impressed with the organization’s mission, founders, and staff,” said Digman. “I formed some great partnerships since I took over the volunteer program at Target.  It’s helped me meet so many wonderful, caring individuals and, in a way, I feel that it’s helped me to become a better person.”

The Target Team was an integral part of GGF’s FredNats Concession Stand sales during Thursday night home games. This fast-paced event requires at least 6 dedicated volunteers each evening, and their presence throughout the season built a strong team that could breeze through even the busiest nights at the ballpark. Their commitment to this series of events ensured that Gwyneth’s Gift would receive the crucial fundraising revenue that comes with operating the concession stand.

As the baseball season came to a close, the Target Team quickly adapted to GGF’s incoming needs. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves and helped transform the Old Silk Mill into an elegant piano bar for Whiskey Business 2024.

“My favorite event was the annual Whiskey Business,” said one team member. “It’s a great way to meet people and donate to such an incredible cause.”

Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation is tremendously grateful for all the volunteer support provided throughout 2024. To join the movement, visit our Get Involved page at https://www.gwynethsgift.org/get-involved/.
